A Certified Medication Aide (CMA), also called the Kentucky Medication Aide (KMA), fulfills a vital role in the healthcare system. Their main duty is helping patients by administering medications that do not require an injection.
CMAs are SRNA’s (State Registered Nurse Aides) or a direct care staff member of a long-term care facility that is not certified, who have completed extra training and passed the MACE exam.
They are approved to give various medication to patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse. CMA’s work in a variety of settings, such as hospitals, clinics, outpatient care centers, retirement centers and nursing homes.

"I was worried about choosing online classes versus in-person but it was great! I had access to thorough training material, followed up with in-person clinicals. I was 100% prepared to pass my state exams. I highly recommend KY Healthcare Training."

"They were incredibly accommodating, helpful, and great teachers. If I had to go back and choose a different route for my CNA it would be with KY Healthcare training again. They were amazing on a level that couldn’t be beat."
